February 16, 2018

Carolina Challenge Cup
February 17, 21, & 24, 2018
The Charleston Battery will welcome Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Atlanta United, Columbus Crew SC, and Minnesota United FC to MUSC Health Stadium this coming February for the 2018 Carolina Challenge Cup (CCC). This year’s CCC will be the 14th staging of the tournament. The Charleston Battery first held CCC in 2004, becoming one of the first lower-division American soccer clubs to host multiple MLS teams for preseason. The tournament has offered soccer fans in South Carolina the opportunity to see international superstars play in Charleston for more than a decade. North Charleston POPS! - That's Entertainment 
February 24, 2018
International singing sensation Kaitlyn Lusk, star soloist of Lord of the Rings Symphony & Gladiator Live, joins the POPS! to present songs of Judy Garland through today's most iconic singers, including Celine Dion. From her debut with the Baltimore Symphony at the age of 14, and her New Year's Eve showcase with the Boston Pops, Kaitlyn has performed center stage in Radio City Music Hall, Royal Albert Hall in London, the Sydney Opera House and throughout the world. Steve Martin and Martin Short in Charleston SC

Expect an evening of nonstop laughs when Steve Martin and Martin Short bring “An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life” to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Martin and Short will be joined by the Grammy® Award winning bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers and renowned jazz pianist and Jimmy Kimmel Live band member Jeff Babko. 12th Annual Friendship Cup
March 1 - 4, 2018
Now in its 12th year, a two-man tournament for male amateur players, The Friendship Cup is contested on the world famous Ocean Course, site of the 2012 and 2021 PGA Championship, and the newly renovated Jack Nicklaus designed Turtle Point Golf Course. Thursday night begins with a culinary experience dinner honoring our past champions and the 2017 Friendship Cup and Pub Cup champions. Friday night attendees enjoy a relaxing and very casual Lowcountry oyster roast and BBQ at Mingo Point overlooking the Kiawah River. Enjoy fantastic food and music while making new “friends” and reconnecting with old ones. The tournament continues Saturday as teams play round two on their respective courses. We will celebrate together in the Grand Oaks Ballroom on Saturday night and award the winning teams. The top ten net teams will win fantastic trips. Prizes will also be awarded to the top Gross Team, Gross Individual, Net Individual and top Senior Division net team (50 and up). Click here for additional information.

Where the Wild Things Run 5K

Walkers, joggers, and runners: come explore your wild side on the scenic nature trails at Caw Caw Interpretive Center. Caw Caw is actively managed for a variety of wildlife and a favored habitat for rare wildlife, so there is also the chance you may see a "wild thing" or two! St. Patrick's Day Block Party

Come join the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Lowcountry on Saturday, March 10th in the Olde Village of North Charleston (located on East Montague Avenue near Park Circle). The Annual “St. Paddy’s Day Block Party & Parade” is from 12 PM – 6 PM and promises fun for the entire family. The Block Party location is East Montague Avenue between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue. The celebration will feature live music across three stages, street vending and fare from Olde North Charleston restaurants, additional local food vendors & trucks, the North Charleston Artist Guild, a Kid’s Zone with jump castles and inflatable obstacle course, a fire truck, face painting, as well as the always favorite mechanical bull. Easter Eggstravaganza

Bring a basket for the egg hunts which will take place in the Gardens. Once found, the hard-boiled eggs can be taken to the Stableyards to be dyed. Additionally, children play colonial games, participate in the Egg Roll and Egg Toss, hear classic stories and make Easter crafts.
