    Where the Wild Things Run 5K
    Walkers, joggers, and runners: come explore your wild side on the scenic nature trails at Caw Caw Interpretive Center. Caw Caw is actively managed for a variety of wildlife and a favored habitat for rare wildlife, so there is also the chance you may see a "wild thing" or two! Adults and kids alike are encouraged to take advantage of family-friendly yoga and readings from Maurice Sendak’s book, Where the Wild Things Are. After the race, stick around for the awards ceremony.

    Sesame Street Live!
    Elmo discovers that magic can be found anywhere when you believe in yourself! When magician extraordinaire Justin visits Sesame Street to put on a magic show for the whole neighborhood, Elmo wants to be part of the big event. But there’s one problem… Elmo doesn’t know how to do magic. That’s when Elmo teams up with Abby and Justin, embarking on an amazing journey where Elmo will discover the “power of yet” —the lesson that with perseverance and practice, nothing can stand between you and your dream.

    St. Patrick's Day Block Party
    Join us for the 17th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Parade, the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Lowcountry! The celebration will feature live music across three stages, street vending and fare from Olde North Charleston restaurants, arts & craft vendors, additional local food vendors, a Kid’s Zone with jump castles, facepainting and inflatable obstacle course, a bungee trampoline, fire trucks, as well as the always favorite mechanical bull. The block party kicks off with a parade starting on Park Place East at noon.

    Cooper River Bridge Run
    The Cooper River Bridge Run provides a world-class 10-K foot race. The race promotes continuous physical activity and a healthy lifestyle through education and opportunity.     Volvo Car Open
    The Volvo Car Open is the largest women’s only tennis tournament in North America. Every April, Charleston welcomes 90,000 spectators and more than 100 world-class, women athletes to participate in the excitement of the Volvo Car Open. Records are broken and memories are made as extraordinary tennis stars take Stadium Court to compete for the coveted title of the Open. The event not only offers world-class tennis but also hosts a wide variety of other activities throughout the week-long tournament. In between matches, attendees can enjoy shopping in the Merchandise Tent or tasting some of the unique Charleston cuisine offered at one of the many dining locations onsite

    Easter Eggstravaganza
    Bring a basket for the egg hunts which will take place in the Gardens. Once found, the hard-boiled eggs can be taken to the Stableyards to be dyed. Additionally, children play colonial games, participate in the Egg Race and Egg Toss, hear classic stories, make Easter crafts and more.

    Lowcountry Cajun Festival
    Bring your family and friends and come experience a full day of Louisiana culture with Zydeco music, hot and spicy crawfish, and an all-around ragin' Cajun good time! Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Experience some of the lowcountry's famous cusine and local flavors from the coast during this taste bud tickling event. Enjoy the sounds of the south land with Cajun influence music and prepare yourself for an event that will have you singing the songs of the south lands for days.
