What a year it’s been for Amy Schumer- she wrote and starred in the feature film Trainwreck, won an Emmy for Inside Amy Schumer; released Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo; and hosted Saturday Night Live. Amy Schumer is the creator, star, writer and executive producer of the Emmy and Peabody Award winning Inside Amy Schumer, the popular Comedy Central television series which premiered in April 2013 to the network’s highest season premiere ratings of the year. Schumer’s provocative and hilariously wicked mind is on full display as she explores topics revolving around sex, relationships, and the general conundrum that is life through a series of scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy, and man-on-the-street interviews. 42nd Street at N Charleston Performing Arts Center

The quintessential backstage musical comedy classic, 42nd Street is the song and dance fable of Broadway with an American Dream story and includes some of the greatest songs ever written, such as “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo,” “Dames,” “I Only Have Eyes For You” and of course “42nd Street.” Based on a novel by Bradford Ropes and Busby Berkeley’s 1933 movie, 42ND STREET tells the story of a starry-eyed young dancer named Peggy Sawyer who leaves her Allentown home and comes to New York to audition for the new Broadway musical Pretty Lady. North Charleston Arts Fest

The North Charleston Arts Fest features nine full days of events highlighting more than 100 national, regional and local artists and performers in the areas of Dance, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts, Crafts, Photography, Media Arts and Literature. Residents and visitors from throughout the Southeast and beyond are invited to experience nearly 200 free and modestly priced performances, workshops, exhibitions, and activities in a variety of venues, including libraries, businesses, community centers, schools, civic auditoriums and parks. The Premiere Weekend, held the first weekend in May at the Charleston Area Convention Center, offers free admission and parking to over forty performances on four themed stages; General Audience, Cultural Heritage, Youth Entertainment, and Bands. The truTV Impractical Jokers 'Where's Larry?' Tour starring The Tenderloins

The Tenderloins are the creators, executive producers, writers and stars of truTV’s hit television series, Impractical Jokers. About to enter its 5th season, the Impractical Jokers follows the Tenderloins’ four members - Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano - as they coerce one another into doing public pranks while being filmed by hidden cameras. With each new season, the show continues to take dares to outrageous levels with new over-the-top hijinks. During its 4th season, the series celebrated 100 episodes in the US with a live television event, The Impractical Jokers Live Punishment Special. Charleston Beer Garden is back for the 5th annual celebration of the suds benefiting Lowcountry AIDS Services! Known as Charleston's largest pop-up beer garden, The Grove at Patriots Point will be transformed overnight into an oasis for craft beer lovers. NPC Junior USA Bodybuilding Championship

The NPC Junior USA Bodybuilding Championship is scheduled for May 20 - 21, 2016 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Watch Men's Bodybuilding, Men's Physique, Women's Bodybuilding, Women's Physique, Fitness, Figure and Bikini. Prejudging begins at 4PM on May 20th and 8AM on May 21st. Finals are at 6PM on May 21st. Atlantic Cup Kicks Off in Charleston SC

The Atlantic Cup presented by 11th Hour Racing is the United States’ premier and only dedicated Class 40 sailing race. The race showcases some of the top Class 40 sailors in the U.S. and world as they compete in the 3-leg event. The boats will be docked at City Marina from May 24 - 27, 2016. Stop by, check out the fleet and say hi to the teams as they make their final preparations. On May 26th, the Atlantic Cup will host kids from all over Charleston for an up close look at the boats and a special meet and greet with the sailors. The race starts at 12PM on Saturday, May 28th just off the Charleston Maritime Center. The best vantage point from land is the park next to the Maritime Center at the corner of Inspection and Wharfside Streets.
