Christmastime is Nunsense Time
December 2 - 18, 2016
It is Christmastime at Mount Saint Helen’s School, and The Little Sisters of Hoboken are about to put on their annual Christmas program, a ballet based on “The Nutcracker” starring Sister Mary Leo as the Sugar Plum Fairy. But then disaster strikes. You’ll have to come to Footlight Theatre from December 2-18th to find out what happens. “Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical” – with music and lyrics by Dan Goggin – features favorite holiday carols plus all-new songs, including “Twelve Days Prior to Christmas,” “Santa Ain’t Comin’ To Our House,” “We Three Kings of Orient Are Us,” and “It’s Better to Give Than To Receive.” Click here for additional information and tickets.
Charleston Sleigh Ride
December 9 - 26, 2016
In December, Pegasus Charters offers the "Original" Charleston Sleigh Ride. Started in 2008, we depart from the Ripley Light Marina in Charleston upon the Charleston Explorer. We cruise for 1.5 - 2 hours listening to Christmas music and stories about Charleston's Christmas traditions. We provide hot chocolate to enjoy during the trip. THIS IS NOT A HOLIDAY LIGHTS TOUR. However, we know that viewing holiday lights is a high priority to our customers and we will travel along the Ashley River where the private homes in Charleston are located and then down the Intracoastal Waterway through James Island where we have a better chance of seeing lights. Be aware, we have no control over people decorating their homes. DECEMBER 10 - this is the night of the holiday boat parade in Charleston harbor. After our tour, we will stay out longer to view the boats. Expect another 1 - 1.5 hours on the boat. The Charleston Explorer is a covered vessel with restrooms. Coolers are allowed if you wish to bring along additional drinks. Click here for additional details and tickets.
